Founder

As the founder of TAG Kids’ Club, I truly believe that the kids of America and now Malawi Africa are “…the fields white unto harvest,” which the Bible refers to in John 4:35b. Don’t you believe with me, that if we can reach our nations kids with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, not only can we change their lives, but possibly their entire families, and there will be no end to the influence they have in the world? YES, I believe that’s why you are here today!

When I became a Christian at thirty years of age, I never dreamed of what God had in store for a deaf catfish farmer from the Mississippi Delta! When the Lord made it possible for me to have a cochlear-implant at age of 45, before the surgery I asked Him, “Lord, would you give me the gift to hear again and the tools to equip me to share Your Good News?”

Not only was the surgery successful but His answer to that prayer was to bless me with 9 years of growing TAG Kids’ Club across America and Malawi Africa.

Tag and his wife, Cathy, live in Madison, Mississippi. They are the parents of three children. Patrick works for United Therapeutics in Durham NC while Daniel works for Heritage Properties in Jackson MS. Katie works as a Social Media Manager with Zehnder Communications in Nashville TN.

Tag enjoys deer hunting and fishing for crappie and bass.

I’m Brandi Rodgers, I’ve lived in Belzoni, MS my whole life. I married my high school sweetheart right out of high school in 1996. We now have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. I was raised in church and accepted Jesus as my Savior at church camp at the age of 12. Although that’s when my walk with the Lord began, I didn’t get serious about my relationship with Him for several years.

When I was 19 years old I rededicated my life to the Lord and I haven’t looked back since. I’ve been apart of TAG Kids Club from the beginning, teaching the very first club at Humphreys Academy 10 years ago. I’ve been involved in children’s ministry for over 25 years. I started out teaching a Sunday school class and over time my involvement in children’s ministry grew into what it is now. I’m a certified sponsored TKC teacher, the social media director for TAG Kids Club, I assisted with writing the Volume 2 curriculum, I’m over the children’s department at my church, on the youth committee at my church and a member of the Belzoni Community Youth Group committee.

My desire is simply to see children & their families come to know the Lord and grow in their faith.

I am Evelyn Kamwendo Kambuku, born in a family of five children. I grew up in a Christian family, and my parents played a big role in teaching me the word of God. My father taught us the word of God and encouraged us to live a prayerful life. We lost our father and mentor when I was in grade four. My mother continued with the good work that my father was doing.

As a young girl, I thought being a Christian was all about going to Sunday school and doing what is right. One day, when I was in grade six my mother took me to a crusade which took place at a soccer pitch near our house. The preacher preached about Christ and having a personal relationship with God. I felt God speaking directly to my heart and that day I decided to accept Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and savior and I decided not to live a life of pleasing my parents, relatives, and friends but to please God by having a personal relationship with him.

A year later, my mother passed on. This affected me emotionally and physically, by God’s grace this
situation made me to seek God more. God remained my strength and comfort in this difficult time. After graduating from high school, I decided to enroll at African Bible College. Studying at a Christian University helped me to grew spiritually and it strengthened my faith; I learnt more about the Kingdom of God and I also learnt how to share the word of God to others. It is by the Grace of God that I received Christ as my Lord and savior when I was young through my parents. Since that time, I received Christ I have never looked back, and I am always thankful to God for redeeming me. Knowing Christ at a tender age, I always hold on to the teaching of the proverbs 22:6 (train up a child in the way he should go, even he is old he will not depart from it). It is always my prayer and my passion that others should know Christ at tender age, for I am living testimony of God’s grace.

In 2021 Tag Kids’ Club was blessed to partner with the chancellor of African Bible College late Dr. Paul
Chinchen; a man who had great heart for children and the work of God. Through his support and
connection, TKC was able to recruit me and bring me on board to be part of this ministry. We remain deeply grateful for the role Dr. Paul Chinchen played in helping to grow this work. May his soul continue to rest in peace.

Dennis Phiri

Tag Kids' Club (Malawi, Africa)

I’m Dennis Kalowa Phiri, and I’m thrilled to share my testimony with you. Before I knew Jesus Christ, I
wasn’t living a godly life. I was selfish and didn’t care about others. But everything changed when I met
Jesus in the hospital as a sick young boy in the year 2011. While I was there a man of God shared the
gospel with me, and I gave my life to Jesus.

Before we all come to Christ (I and my whole family) we were all Muslims. I was the first to be converted to Christianity while at the hospital when I was badly sick. Coming from a Muslim family, my decision to follow Jesus Christ wasn’t easy. They disowned me, and I was adopted by my primary school teacher, who sheltered and educated me after she saw what I was going through. It was supposed to be like that, my great grandmother was a Muslim, and my grandmother, she never even stepped into the Church until she died. My whole family was a Muslim family, that’s why the disownment as supposed to come indeed, but this was my decision to receive Him as my Lord and personal Savior not theirs. Though after the disownment, I felt lonely and struggled to reconcile with my family, but I couldn’t give up on Jesus Christ and the first time, I also knew that He would not give up on me. He showed me love and mercy, and I decided to share that love with my family. After a couple of Years, I started visiting them and sharing Jesus Christ with them. One day, my elder
brother, who had disowned me, was sick and asked me to pray for him. After I prayed, he passed away, but I’m grateful he reconciled with Jesus Christ before he died. My family saw the change in me and started believing in Jesus too. We’ve reconciled, and we’re living in peace.

Since then, I’ve been teaching children and youth about Jesus, coaching them, and doing charity work,
especially with vulnerable kids and women. I’m passionate about reconciliation and restoration because I’ve experienced it firsthand.

I’m excited to work with Tag Kids’ Club in Malawi, Teaching Truth and Grace to kids here! I know this is part of who I am. This is part of my testimony, and the fulfillment of my calling too.
